LP Commercial was contracted by our partners, the event planning company HeadBox, to capture the GPT Ignite Conference in Sydney. However, this assignment wasn’t your run-of-the-mill conference event.
GPT was running the event to bring everyone at GPT together for the first time post-pandemic, to relaunch GPT’s purpose and values, and with the assistance of HeadBox, the conference was also set up to tease the upcoming launch of their ‘brand refresh’ to all staff across it’s national offices.
For the over 550 conference attendees, GPT also wanted to offer an option of updating their headshots, if they chose. This not only presented a great gifting opportunity, but helped GPT to attain a consistent look and feel across their organisation and in their online presence, with use areas including teams calls, LinkedIn and Outlook. This is where LP came in.
By having four headshot booths, each one set up with a backdrop representative of the brand refresh colours, LP were not only able to rapidly photograph hundreds of people, but to do so without taking each attendee away from the main conference for longer than necessary. It had the added benefit of taking no time out of the employee workday either, and vastly reduced time and resources spent organising headshots per office.
While it was undoubtedly a big few days, the conference was meticulously pre-planned with the fast pace of the event in mind.
One booking, two days, four backdrops, over five hundred employee’s photographed, and all-round success for the GPT post-pandemic welcome back and refresh!
