In February 2010 Australian V8 racing cars journeyed to The United Arab Emirates for the first time.
The logistics of moving an entire Australian racing category half way around the world for one race meet was staggering. Critical to the venture was one late night in Melbourne when the cars from every race team were loaded into an Emirates Cargo Boeing 747.
LP Commercial's Andrew Jarvie was booked by Emirates to capture the moment. The shoot was a tricky night time affair on the apron of Melbourne Airport. With refuelling planes all around no flash lighting was allowed so the whole shoot had to be managed in available light.
Being a definite petrol head, watching some of Australia's most powerful racing cars load onto a single aircraft is something Andrew will remember for a long time to come.
